First, I'd like to thank the Postulator...

Cora! She has given me a blog award! So sweet! So I send her my thanks. Now my charge is to make a list of 7 favorite things, and then pass the award on to 15 other bloggers who I have discovered & think are terrific.

My 7 will be witchy-type books or other essential crafty stuff:

1. Terry Pratchett's witch books: Wee Free Men, A Hat Full of Sky, Wintersmith, Wyrd Sisters, Lords & Ladies, Carpe Jugulum, Maskerade...there are more. I love all Pratchett's work, but I have a special place in my heart for the witches.

2. The Mists of Avalon. There was a reason I read this over & over again in high school and undergrad!

3. Essential oils, especially lavender, geranium and lemon.

4. Phyllis Curott's Book of Shadows. I got the quote that names this blog from this text. It's one of the first serious craft books I read. I highly recommend it, especially for a newbie who likes to think of herself as sophisticated, educated & skeptical ;).

5. Starhawk's The Spiral Dance.

6. The Paulina Tarot <3 <3 <3

7. The Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells by Judika Illes!

Now for the bloggers on whom I bestow the Beautiful Blogger Award:

Ok, that's 13. But that's a good #, too. I really enjoy reading you all! Please pass this award on to other beautiful bloggers, and let them know that you have honored them.

  1. Thanks hon : ) I had received this award from Debra and had you on my list of recipients as well, but I'm a noobie blogger and wasn't sure if I could award an awarder so instead I give you my totally rock girl!

  2. Hey, I love the nickname Hibisquit! Thank you so much for the award.

  3. Ooh! I love the therapeutic scents of Bergamont and Rose! *^_^* Mmmm...
Congrats to you and thank you so very much for the award, as well!

  4. Congrats on the award! When I first read The Mists of Avalon in the mid-80s, I wanted to run away and become a Druid. It seemed silly at the time. Not any more!

  5. ~congrats on your award and all those you passed it along too...number 3 & 6 are among my favorites too...i have had the mists of avalon for quite sometime and just haven't had the time to keeps coming up in others blogs so maybe now is the time to try and sneak in some reading...brightest blessings~

  6. Congratulations on your award and thank you so much for passing it on to me along with so many other beautiful blogs. It's nice to know folks are reading me and occasionally find my blather interesting enough to come back again! lol Much peace to you. Take care!

  7. Thanks sweetheart. By the way, Curott's Book was my very first pagan book. I related to her on so many levels :)

  8. Thankyou for the award. I am reading Mists of Avalon for the 4th time right now.

  9. Congrats on the award -- and so deserved at that! :)

Thanks also for passing on the award to me -- I certainly feel very honored. :)

    Big hugs,

  10. I finally posted about this award! :)
