Cora! She has given me a blog award! So sweet! So I send her my thanks. Now my charge is to make a list of 7 favorite things, and then pass the award on to 15 other bloggers who I have discovered & think are terrific.
My 7 will be witchy-type books or other essential crafty stuff:
1. Terry Pratchett's witch books: Wee Free Men, A Hat Full of Sky, Wintersmith, Wyrd Sisters, Lords & Ladies, Carpe Jugulum, Maskerade...there are more. I love all Pratchett's work, but I have a special place in my heart for the witches.
2. The Mists of Avalon. There was a reason I read this over & over again in high school and undergrad!
3. Essential oils, especially lavender, geranium and lemon.
4. Phyllis Curott's Book of Shadows. I got the quote that names this blog from this text. It's one of the first serious craft books I read. I highly recommend it, especially for a newbie who likes to think of herself as sophisticated, educated & skeptical ;).
5. Starhawk's The Spiral Dance.
6. The Paulina Tarot <3 <3 <3
7. The Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells by Judika Illes!

Congrats on the award! When I first read The Mists of Avalon in the mid-80s, I wanted to run away and become a Druid. It seemed silly at the time. Not any more!
ReplyDelete~congrats on your award and all those you passed it along too...number 3 & 6 are among my favorites too...i have had the mists of avalon for quite sometime and just haven't had the time to read...it keeps coming up in others blogs so maybe now is the time to try and sneak in some reading...brightest blessings~
