Hopefully we're good for PINK Saturday!

Looks like the deplayer bug is gone, and I didn't lose anything! Except a lot of time & frustration. On to Pink Saturday. I was planning a bit more for this, but it will be ongoing, because my favorite pink thing is Miss Pinkie Moon, one of my two African hedgehogs. She is an excellent little companion to me, and my rambunctious cat Annabelle cannot get through her prickles, so she's a perfect fit. Pinkie is an albino, so she has pink ears, a pink nose, and one could call her eyes fuchsia if one wanted to. For comparison purposes, here is Felicity Hufflepuff Hedgehog, my other quilled friend, who is a chocolate or standard.

I love them both, and there are big plans afoot for photos with a variety of pink thingies!

  1. I've never heard of keeping a hedgehog as a pet, but they are both very adorable. The albino one looks like a stuffed animal.....seriously....until I read the wording below I thought it was a stuffed animal : )

  3. Oh! They are both so sweet! I used to have a little hedgehog honey. Her name was Wando (Zwahili for "Love"). She died of old age. I miss her so. Happy Pink Saturday.

  7. Cute hedgehogs! I had one as a child, I was always bring it slugs and grubs to eat. The only bad thing was that he liked to hide in pants... while I was still wearing them. lol

  8. Thanks all! I love my hogs! My Pink Saturday posts will be all about hedgehogs, since Pinkie Moon fits the category so nicely, too. There are also witchy connections:) Mine are African, so they are very small & low odor.

  9. OMG they are adorable!!! Do they hurt when you hold them?

  10. Well, when they do not WISH to be picked up, they turn completely spherical & stick out all their quills. Then it hurts to pick them up, but I do anyway because that is how you keep them tame. Most of the time, though, they lay their quills flat, and in that state, the quills are wonderful to stroke. They are not for everyone, but I love em!
