Felicity HufflePuff Hedgehog, longtime companion of The Wizardess, died suddenly, at home, in her cage, on Friday, September 16th, 2011. Born on the Winter Solstice of 2007, Felicity lived a long and happy life.
Felicity delighted in visiting classrooms of elementary aged children, and she would not leave until she had interacted with each student. In her long and illustrious career as an entertainer, Felicity bit only one child, and it must be noted that the little girl's hands were sweaty.
Felicity will be greatly missed by her human associate, and her cage companion, Pinkie Moon. Pinkie was heard muttering that this would mean more mealworms for her, but regretted this statement when she realized that if she wants to cuddle, her only choices are now a human or several cats.
May Felicity find her peace over the Rainbow Bridge and into the Summerlands, where no one will ever bathe her or clip her nails, the two banes of her earthly existence. Hail, Felicity!

ReplyDeleteOh no! Poor little Felicity! It always saddens me to hear about when an animal loses its life. I am so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it can be, because they really do become like family, like our children. Sending you blessings in this sad time...

I'm so sorry. Losing a pet (or as I refer to mine, my furry family members) is sometimes harder than losing a relative. Peace to you and your family.
