Cute?
You say you want the cute? You can't HANDLE the cute!
Seriously. I could just squee constantly, going around the house. Lady of the Beasts, thank you, thank you, for these furry entities who share my life!
New Year's Blessings from Friskie, Kristofferson, Kitsune, Pinkie Moon & The Wizardess
(oh yeah, the worms in the worm bin send blessings, too.)

I am using my device.
Yes indeed, from The Wizardess
And in kitty-cat news, Kristofferson is off trying again, boink boink boink, with Rocky, below.
Let's petition the Goddess for a nice bunch of kittens around the beginning of March.
And then there's Suni:
Who's in heat! Really, truly. You wouldn't believe the vocalizations. Bird chirps, trills, boops, beeps, good old yowls, everything. Unfortunately, she needs to wait about another 2 months before she can play any sexy reindeer games.
RRRRrrrrrllllllllllllll??!? from Suni & The Wizardess

Darn it.
Kristofferson, my beautiful Norwegian Forest Cat, is NOT pregnant. I was wondering when her weight gain was so slight, but I thought, hey, she's skinny to begin with, and maybe she's only having 2-3 babehs. K is now in heat. Full on, rolling, meowing, squirming, writhing, assume the position heat.
Sigh. I am not informing my family, since the due date of 12/26 was the perfect excuse to avoid any Christmas visiting. I will still have a quiet, kitty-cat filled cozy holiday season. It just won't be quite as kitty-cat filled as I was expecting.
And K is so so ready to try again. I know how she feels! (She's on the left. Daughter Suni on the right.)
There has got to be a boy cat around here somewhere! I'll just walk on top of the 1/2" wide balcony railing until I attract one!!

It's time to play "How Fat is Your Cat?"
I got a baby scale for weighing future kittens, and the current cats & hedgehogs. I have 2 felines who could stand to lose a bit of tubbiness, a Kitsune kitten who needs to gain & grow steadily, and a Kristofferson Mama cat who alarms me somewhat with her thinness. So how fat is everyone today?
Annabelle:
~13 pounds
This is great! Miss Annabelle did not wish to stay on the scale, so this is approximate. About 3 weeks ago she was at 14.35 lbs, so good job Belle.
Kitsune:
4.18 pounds
Excellent, Miss Cute Pants! Last weighing had her at 3.5 lbs.
Suni enjoys getting on the scale now, since I weigh her pretty often. She's a-growing.
Friskie:
9.12 pounds
Way to go, Friskie-who's-not, you were at 9.33 last time.
Kristofferson:
5.9 pounds
Pretty K girl is naturally lean. I'd like to see her up above 6 pounds, and she seemed to be at her last weighing. She doesn't particularly care for staying on the scale either!
And that's how fat my cats are today!

Kitsune loves her chair.
Suni (Kitsune's nickname) loves to sleep on a chair beside me while I am pecking away at the computer. Some days you love your chair so much you just must hug it.

It's a Name Day.
Baby Kitty has been named: Kitsune!
Yep, she likes it. Once she went crazy over dried bonito flakes (a key Japanese cooking ingredient) as a little snack, I knew this name was it. Kitsune is the Japanese word for fox, but it indicates a fox faerie...a shapeshifter, a trickster, a power animal with a sense of humor.
]You may say, she doesn't look that foxy, she's a beautiful baby kitty. It's more her spirit/attitude that gets it: the kitsune or fox maiden may trick people or teach them a lesson, but she never physically or permanently injures anyone.
That's my little Kitsune!
